OCCT - Hardware Stress Test

OCBASE/OCCT : Free, all-in-one stability, stress test, benchmark and monitoring tool for your PC


Depending on if you are running Windows or Linux there will be two editions.



Windows: When you launch the application, run it as an administrator, by right-clicking on the application and selecting Run as administrator.


Linux: You may need to change its permissions before the application is allowed to run.

Alternatively it would be easier to right click the file > Go to properties > Change its permission to allow it to execute on your system as a program. You can also run this application in the terminal.


Once loaded, you will see a screen like this...


You can monitor your hardware in real time.

OCCT is a very handy and useful tool to stress test your computer. If there are any hardware issues, it will either crash whichever test you are running or display a list of errors.


CPU

Select CPU and set the timer for 1-hour

You can leave Mode set to Normal.

Load type set to Variable.

Start at Cycle set to 1.

Instruction Set on Auto.

Then click on the Start button. Wait 10-seconds and press Start again. 


GPU

Select GPU (3D Adaptive) and set the time for 1-hour.

Select Variable for the configuration

Select your Dedicated Graphics Card.

Intensity Range | 20% to 100%

Intensity Increase | 5% Every 30 seconds

Then click on the Start button. Wait 10-seconds and press Start again.


GPU VRAM


Select VRAM and set the test for 1 Hour

Select your graphics card.

Set your memory to 80%

Then click on the Start button. Wait 10-seconds and press Start again.


Memory

Select Memory and set the system to 1 Hour.

Set Memory to 80%

Instruction Set: Auto

Threads: Auto

Then click on the Start button. Wait 10-seconds and press Start again.


Power

Select Power.

Under Use all GPUs select Enabled and run this test for 15-minutes.

Then click on the Start button. Wait 10-seconds and press Start again.
