How to enable or disable XMP on your RAM (for MSI motherboards)
Activating XMP in the BIOS will offer increased performance. If your BIOS has been updated or reset, you will need to re-enable this feature.
Enabling XMP on certain RAM configurations can cause issues to occur. If you experience issues, try disabling the feature and see if the issues persist. For assistance, reach out to MAINGEAR support at (908-620-9050) or support@maingear.com.
- While the system is powering on or after restarting it, repeatedly press the DELETE key until you enter the BIOS.
- In the BIOS menu, check to see if it says EZ Mode at the top. If it says Advanced Mode, press F7 to switch modes.
- Click OC on the left side of the screen. Scroll down until you locate DRAM Setting.
- Set the following to enable or disable this feature:
- Enabled:
- Extreme Memory Profile(XMP): Profile 1 (Use this for Intel processors)
- Disabled:
- Extreme Memory Profile(XMP): Disabled (Use this for Intel processors)
- Press F10 to save your settings and exit.
