Can I make any changes to the shroud Signature Edition PC?

shroud Signature Edition is a pre-configured system with limited customization beyond its advertised specs. We do have a custom shroud Edition model available, which is fully configurable, and can be found here on our website.

Q: What components can be changed in the shroud Signature Edition?

A: We can typically accommodate RAM and storage modifications to Signature Edition. Any changes beyond that would require ordering a custom Shroud Edition instead. To make a RAM or storage change, you'll first want to place your order and then reach out by phone or email with your order # and desired modification(s).

Q: Can core components, such as the CPU and GPU, be easily changed down the line?

A: We do not use any proprietary parts, which makes component changes relatively easy for those familiar with what's involved. It's always worth mentioning that MAINGEAR only provides support for the factory configuration, and by changing any core components on your own, you could in fact be impacting service and support coverage, not to mention trade-in eligibility for Signature Edition components. We recommend contacting our support team prior to modifying your system.

Q: Is there only one slot for storage? If not, are you able to add more storage?

A: The motherboard in shroud Signature Edition currently includes four NVMe slots for storage. We can populate any of the unused storage slots by request. Contact MAINGEAR sales by phone or email immediately upon placing your order if you'd like to make any storage changes.
