How to Enable TPM on MSI Motherboard for AMD & Intel systems

With Windows 10 losing support, upgrading to Windows 11 has become essential for many PC users. The upgrade requires users to enable TPM (Trusted Platform Mode) 2.0 for enhanced security measures. Below are step-by-step instructions on how to enable TPM 2.0 and get you up and running on your shiny new operating system!

AMD MSI Motherboard

  1. Enter BIOS by repeatedly tapping ‘Del’ or "F2" on the startup of the PC.
  2. Make sure to enter ‘Advanced mode’ by tapping F7.
  3. Navigate to "Settings" box.
  4. Navigate to "Security". 
  5. Select "Security Device Support"- Set to Enable
  6. Navigate to "AMD fTPM Switch" and set to [AMD fTPM].

Intel MSI Motherboard

  1. Enter BIOS by repeatedly tapping ‘Del’ or ‘F2’ as the PC startups.
  2. Make sure to enter ‘Advanced mode’ by tapping F7.
  3. Navigate to the "Settings" box.
  4. Navigate to "Security".
  5. Click on "Trusted Computing".
  6. Select "Security Device Support"- Set to Enable
  7. Set "TPM Device selection" to Security PTT Enable.
