ASUS Processor Power Settings (Intel)

This guide can be used to address Intel 13th and 14th Gen Processor issues.

MAINGEAR optimizes BIOS settings by configuring the processor to Intel's recommended performance power settings for optimal performance and stability. If you have reset or updated your BIOS, please follow the steps below to reconfigure those settings.

  1. While the system is powering on or after restarting it, repeatedly press the DELETE key until you enter the BIOS.
  2. While in the BIOS, in EZ Mode (press F7 if it says Advanced Mode), you'll see the motherboard model located in the upper left-hand corner under Information.
  3. Select Extreme Tweaker or Ai Tweaker from the top navigation bar.
  4. Set Performance Preferences to Intel Default Settings.
  5. Set Intel Default Settings to Performance.
  6. Scroll down to and select Internal CPU Power Management.

  7. Enter the following settings based on your processor. To update each setting, click on the current value in the right-hand column. A text box will appear, allowing you to enter the new value. Note that these settings will be based on the processor installed in your system.
