When I press the keyboard or mouse my system does not wake from sleep, how do I enable this feature?

Sometimes this wake-from-sleep feature is not enabled by default. In order to enable the keyboard/mouse to wake your system from sleep, please follow the steps provided below.

Right click the Windows Start Menu icon.

Click Device Manager.

Double click on both Keyboards and Mice and other pointing devices. You'll notice that there are multiple devices for both mouse and keyboard.

Double click on one entry and click on the Power Management tab. Make sure to check the Allow this device to wake the computer box.  After, click OK at the bottom of the prompt. Repeat this step for each entry in both Keyboards and Mice and other pointing devices that have the Power Management tab available.

Note: Some motherboards have this as a feature in the BIOS, if disabled, this function will not work. If the steps above don't allow the system to wake from sleep, you will most likely have to check in the BIOS to see if this feature is disabled. Please contact our support team for further assistance if required.
